UmayyadMosque (which has survived the intervening 1200 years
with surprising integrity in spite of successive invasions, Mongol sackings
and the ravages of earthquakes, fire, and lately was visited by the Pope who
was following the road of St. Paul in his mission in spreading
Christianity). Free time for shopping in The Covered Bazaar (Al-Hamidiah).
Suggest lunch in a typical Restaurant. Visit Street called Straight,
Ananias Church (Were Saul took shelter from the Jews), Eastern
Gate (The oldest existent monument in Damascus and the only one of the
Roman Gates of the city to preserve its original form), and St.
Paul’s Window. Dinner and over night.

Breakfast at Hotel, Transfer to Palmyra on the way visit Maloula
and Seidnaya, (The Pope wanted to visit these two old and ancient
Christian Churches. But was forced to delay them to a second visit due to
the short time. It is very important to mention that the original people
of these two cities still speak the language of Jesus Christ. And you will
see, some of the oldest Icons of the world placed in these two churches).

Breakfast at Hotel, Half-day tour of Palmyra including Temple of
Bel (Master of heavens. The Temple is certainly the most important
religious building of the 1st century AD in the Middle East and
is one of the few early imperial projects in the region to survive). The
Theater, The Colonnade, The Baths, and the tombs. Suggest lunch in a local
restaurant. Depart Palmyra to Aleppo, dinner and over night.

Breakfast at Hotel, Visit Aleppo (a poem in a stone, gray by day
and gold by night, its recorded history first comes to light in the
archives of Mari and of the Hittites in the early to mid second millennium
BC). Full day sightseeing of Aleppo. The Citadel of Aleppo, (Which
was probably constructed by the Seleucids (333 – 64 BC)), Al-Wazir
Caravansarai. Suggest lunch in a typical restaurant. And full free
after noon for shopping at the Covered Bazaar of Aleppo. Dinner and
overnight.

Visit the castle of Crack Des Chevaliers (one of the greatest
buildings of all times), and Hama (that enjoyed a reputation as one
of the more charming of the Syrian towns). Arriving Damascus. Free
